The cell phone has advanced greatly over the years. When they first came out, cell phones were used as merely a tool to make and receive calls. Times have changed and so have cell phones. Today, cell phones are true technological wonders. Every day a new cell phone comes out that has some new feature that completely revolutionizes the way people use their phones. What used to be a tool for making calls now has the ability to do much, much more.

A few years ago, cell phones came out that could take pictures. That was seen as a technological revolution. The cell phones were expensive, as this was a new technology. However, anyone who puts those cell phones against the phones of today will see a big difference in quality. What seemed like a great camera phone back then looks like a cheap child’s toy by today’s standards.
Nowadays, cell phones have much more than just cameras built into them. Now, the cell phone can take pictures as well as videos. As technology advances, so does the quality. There are even cell phones out today that take just as good of pictures as many digital cameras.

The advancements in the cell phone go way beyond photo and video capabilities. As technology gets more advanced, cell phones continue to be born with more features. For example, some versions of the cell phone make it possible to keep a detailed schedule. It used to be you had to have a palm device as well as a cell phone to be truly organized and connected. Now, you can do it all with your cell phone.
With more advancements to technology, there will be more features added to the cell phone. There’s even word that our credit cards will be built into our cell phones. That means you will be able to keep your cards at home. When you want to make a purchase, you will simply wave your cell phone over a receptor to make the transaction. Pretty soon, cell phones will completely make it unnecessary to carry a wallet.
The cell phone has become a staple of the modern world. The cell phones today are truly modern marvels. They are technological wonders that make them must-haves for those who can afford them. With more and more phones being offered for little to no money as an incentive to sign contracts, soon, everyone in the world will have a cell phone. That is, if they don’t already have one.
